Extended family just arrived from the coast. Gramma sent a care package - as always - so tonight is authentic East Indian vegetarian fare: sarson da saag, makki ki roti, Naan, Chole, whole green mung daal, (moong daal), a dish with potatoes (can't recall the proper name right now but it is delicious) and she sent along sweet Tamarind - that was packaged tho. She is a sweet old lady who still wears her traditional costume even so she has been here for over 40 years.

Rice (rice cooker on the deck), broccoli (steamed), and pork kebabs on the BBQ. Also did a foil packet of mushrooms, onions, butter, and a bit of garlic and a spring of summer savory from my garden; it cooked up nice on the BBQ too.

Anything I can cook out of doors I will at this time of year!
I haven't failed until I quit.
