TV

I was just watching the last few episodes of last season, whetting my appetite for the start of the fourth season Friday night. Do you think that the crew members who keep hearing the music might be the mysterious 'final five'?

Okay, so there's only four of them at this point. They must have a major plot twist in store for us down the road somewhere.

And for the chance to win a million dollars, what is the name of the TV series?!?!

It's possible to do all the right things and still get a bad result.

I know Battlestar Gallactica's season starts tonight (there's some die hard customers that keep telling me, although I've never seen an episode, lol)
Maybe that's what they're talking about???

I loved the original series but haven't had a chance to watch the new version though I'll probably rent it during the summer if available on dvd. Still waiting if that's the right answer :)

Yes, Battlestar Galactica, the remake of the old series from the 80's. It's an excellent series even if you're not a sci-fi fan. Very sequential though, you really should watch it from the start. If you want the coles notes version, tune in tonight at 6pm on the Space channel, apparently they're going to run a little show that will give you the essential information on past episodes so you won't be a total blowout* should you decide to watch the new season.

Watched the 6:00 pm special - I watched a few shows from the first season but missed too many to really get into it and that show is something I wouldn't mind renting and watching when all the other tv show reruns are on.

I made a run for chinese food before the shows started. I was listening to CBC Radio and their pop-culture columnist Jason Wente was raving about the show, said it was some of the best TV around bar none. Attributed its success to excellent writing. I agree. The characters are entirely believable, and plot development makes for a riveting story.

What!....you weren't trying to get high on MSG, were you? I also like the show, although I had to rent the dvd's to catch up because I missed the first show and caught a few here and there....that is not the way to watch this series. Fancy, when I rented season one and two, they were package as a 4 dvd set and at 5 or 6 dollars a pop........you may want to poke your head in the Credit Crunch thread and find out which is better.......Rent or Buy  (couldn't resist).

Anyhoo, the show definately has an edge from scenes shot in perpetual darkness, the haunting music, acting and especially the writing.......and is light years different from the original. Fluffy, I know you're a big fan of the Bladerunner and this show has the same feel to it. Oh, I forgot to mention....how about them femme fatales.....#6.... :200: :hailjo: :rate10: , followed closely by Starbuck.
