Dance as if no one's watching, sing as if no one's listening, and live everyday as if it were your last.
Life is not about waiting for the storm to pass. It's about learning to dance in the rain.

Safe to say this band was influenced by that era.
Rival Sons - Electric Man. Good tune but could probably use more cowbell. :)

Saw Burton Cummings last night at the Kelowna Community Theatre, always a fun show, even at 67 he still has one of the best voices. But that's to be expected from Burton, anyone who's seen him live knows what I'm talking about. But the real suprise of the night was his warm up band WiL. Super humble guy with an amazing voice, amazing energy and amazing original songs. A cross between Ray Lamontange and Mumford and sons but only a two man band. He tore the roof off the place to cheers of 'good job Wil'. To say he was a crowd pleaser would be an understatement. He's playing at the Minstrel Cafe this Friday and if you get a chance check him out, should be incredible in a small venue like that. Still some seats available. Call to reserve 250.764.2301

This vinyl just fell into my hands the other day. An amazing Canadian band. Their last album won the Polaris Prize*. Dig:
* The Polaris Music Prize is a music award annually given to the best full-length Canadian album based on artistic merit, regardless of genre, sales, or record label.
* The Polaris Music Prize is a music award annually given to the best full-length Canadian album based on artistic merit, regardless of genre, sales, or record label.
Your bias suits you.

Gabriella Quevado is talented beyond belief. In her arrangement of Hotel California by the eagles, she manages to play the vocal melody and guitar lines, while also touching on the bass, and percussive rhythm. The end result is something captures a little bit of the entire band wrapped up in one amazing guitar performance.
