Their burgers are still huge!
So I love the Okanagan but it's a place best enjoyed from atop a very large pile of $100 bills. - Spocky

They are just like any other restaurant franchise. The only difference is that they are just trying to cash in on a name that has't been relevant for 30 years or so.

Not to mention lots of smaller northern BC towns. Williams Lake just opened one. Quesnel and Terrace have them. PG, Fort St John, Dawson Creek. Maybe I spend too much time in these areas because I figured there was a Mr. Mike’s in most towns out here.

Lots of restaurant chains would be amused by such comments - until they go bankrupt and disappear. Not saying that that will happen to the new Mr. Mikes - only time will tell.

Regardless, I have no interest in going there - theres no salad bar, no ice cream machine - no nostalgia. There's countless other restaurants that offer me the identical product and service the new Mr. MIkes does.

If I'm not mistaken, the Mr. Mikes location in Kamloops (north shore) which was mentioned earlier in this thread - was the last original Mr. Mikes to close its doors. Such a shame. I'd drive up there every once in while just to go there.

A new one coming to Salmon Arm, and possibly Vernon. There's a new one in Chilliwack and Coquitlam.
Their Mike burgers are great.
Hope they open one in Penticton again.

The Vernon one just opened up - located in the old Pantry location.

Not much is cheap anymore. It's tough to find a place to go for lunch for 2 under $30.

Dinner meals are between 25-$30, so no, not inexpensive e but the food is retry good. For a burger, red robin is good value.
