Thanks for that, Glacier. I'm a Stan Rogers fan, and don't recall hearing this one before.... Poor old Stan sure deserved a better end to his life than the hand he was dealt....

I posted about this tune just shy of seven years ago when this thread was brand new after hearing it used in a TV series soundtrack with considerable emotional impact. (turned me to jello right there on the couch) At the time all I could find was a poor copy of a live performance, here's something a little better. The song is by Beth Neilson Chapman, and was a re-entry into her career as a singer/songwriter a few years after losing her husband to cancer. Just try and get through it without tearing up. I dare ya.

RED Sovine is awesome. Love teddy bear . Phantom 409 and giddy up go. One of the best real country singers ever. All truckin songs too.

My folks had a vinyl record with these trucker songs on them. I remember listening to them. Giddy up go daddy, giddy up go.
