and ... ?
Watched a DVD titled "Hell", a French language DVD with English subtitles. Twas the typical sci-fi post- apocalyptic theme. Not bad. Nothing out of the ordinary other than the subtitles

"Avengers" out on disc today. Ten minutes of plot crammed into two hours of explosions and fight scenes, but it's a great ride. Both nipples erect on the fluf-o-meter.

There's a new show on Netflix called "Great Crimes and Trials". Half hour episodes centered around particular cases and criminals. Good god, now I see pedophiles and killers everywhere...Oh, and bring back capital punishment. Some of those people are complete sickos.
PS: One of the episodes is around Karla Homolka.

I liked it in the theater. It's coming out this month on DVD and I can hardly wait to watch it again.

I'm pretty sure it's out by now as I've seen the Blue Ray version of it. It looks like a stunningly done, super computer enhanced, polished to no end pile of total and utter crap. Disappointment of the year.

Watched "Battleship". I was actually surprised. It wasn't as much of a dog as I thought it was going to be. I mean, it's no great movie by any stretch of the imagination, but it wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be. Director must have attended the "Michael Bay School of Directing", because it sure looked like a Michael Bay movie. Maybe Hasbro wants their stuff to look and feel a certain way?

So I love the Okanagan but it's a place best enjoyed from atop a very large pile of $100 bills. - Spocky

Me too! Great effects! Great pace of action!
As a side note, I also like the reference to the question of just how prudent is it that we’re trying to make contact with intelligent life elsewhere in the universe? Why should we assume that beings intelligent enough to be capable of interstellar travel and be able to reach our planet by default be peaceful? People always make that assumption based on the premise any civilization advanced enough for interstellar travel would be advanced enough not to be violent but we have made some of our greatest advancements during times of war. Hmmm.
