too bad and looking at all the empty space that the stripmall has I would think they would keep them in there because of that fact.

Supposedly they're going to bulldoze the building BK was in for more parking and to allow for better visual exposure from the highway of the remaining mall.

$12 for a lunch buffet isn't cheap considering most are around the $9-$10 mark.
So I love the Okanagan but it's a place best enjoyed from atop a very large pile of $100 bills. - Spocky

I apologize for that! I haven't been to enough lunch buffets to know what's a reasonable price. I was comparing it to other places I have eaten, where a main dish costs a lot more than that.

On a lighter note that relates to the topic, we just ordered food from Mekong for 50 people on Sunday and the food were pretty good!

don't know how any of you can eat buffet....and I also heard that AP is still the same owners, spruced it up and changed the name as their reputation wasn't helping apparantly, all here say mind you.

These are definitely new owners and it was more than a spruce up. The whole place was gutted, from floor to ceiling.

Definitely a different quality to the food too. Still average but they are a LOT better than when DIE-Nasty was in there.

Would like to know where Buffet King is going to end up.

I'll give credit where credit is due. We tried Asian Pear again recently after recommendations by the inlaws that the dinner buffet was good. It's a big improvement over the last time we were there.

When considering that 90% of the stuff is deep fried, is there really such a thing as "good" Chinese food?

What I've also always found odd, was that for all the deep frying and grease involved, I can't for the life of me figure out why I'm hungry two hours later?

At least if I gobble down a greasy pizza, it stays with me, and I have no need to look for munchies two hours later.

Mysteries of the universe. lol

Anyone tried J-Wok Express in the mission? Read good reviews on it.
