I've noticed a new take-out place going to open in the area around Kelowna Superstore, not sure if its Chinese or Japanese food.
Noticed it as I drove by on Baron Rd.

I don't give a damn whether people/posters like me or dislike me, I'm not on earth to win any popularity contests.

I will never eat at AP again.
Just one, we only need one great place.
Anything that's a break from the 8 billion sushi places we have in this city will be a welcome addition. We do NOT need another sushi place! I was sad to see that the old location of DeBakker is going to be a new sushi joint.
So I love the Okanagan but it's a place best enjoyed from atop a very large pile of $100 bills. - Spocky

You can never have too many sushi places.

You can if they aren't good
I could have made better than what I had last week, and I have never made Sushi.
Soon I would have just forgotten what great Asian food tastes like..
or decide to enjoy chicken balls LOL

As I've said before, Kelowna thrives on mediocre. Tons of okay places but few great ones. At times I'd swear we got the highest amount if sushi places per capita.
And I still can't find a single place that'll make a sukiyaki!

Has anyone tried Wok Box? We too are trying to find good Chinese, always end up back at Mekong...

Nope, not me, but I'm curious to see their new venture. Haven't eaten at Ozeki's in years. Tried them when I moved back to the city but they changed hands. Beef tasted like it was freezer burnt and they stopped making the sukiyaki. Haven't been back since.
Mei Wei on the westside is my usual recommended spot for chinese, with Imperial Banquet and Wok Inn respectively, both in Rutland.
Still want to try this J-Wok. Reviews have been good.

Re: Where do you get good Chinese food in Kelowna
We NEVER order take-out in Kelowna...........its been 10 years since we have. When the urge for "Chinese" hits, we will go to a buffet and get our fill. Too many people here have told us to "try here or try there.........its really good". EVERY single place gave you very little for a huge price........$90.00 to feed 4 people and that was 10 years ago. If you travel outside of
B.C. I recommend take-out in other provinces and you will see the difference in quality, quantity and price. Of course this IS Kelowna and nothing is a surprise anymore.
