I like Jimmy Ho's. The seafood wontons are amazing. The chow mein isn't drenched in sauce. The curry was great.

Pho Btch Ngga 4 Life.

For Good Pho...Go to the little place in downtown Westbank - Opposite the Community Hall on Main . Its almost next to Lams the jewelers. Cant remember the name. Tiny restaurant, but worth the crush to eat Pho there rather than "to go"

But generally, I have to agree that the quality here (Kelowna and West Kelowna) is pretty poor. The hygiene is not too hot either.

The buffet deal always worries me cos the food is almost cold by the time you get to the table. Sometimes the gravies turn to goop on the plate as they cool and congeal..... So it's back to get a hot plate - you hope! and some warmer food.I almost want to see a microwave table so I can nuke the germs and heat my food up.

Any more "authentic" restaurant suggestions???

id go to pho soc trang downtown, hoang gia by Costco is pretty good too

Dragon King on Bernard. Don't let the looks fool you. Great, fresh and high quality ingredients.

We are big fans of Golden Chopsticks.

Now that you ask, Asian Pear is our top choice.

A LOT better than what was in there before! Kinda pricey.
So I love the Okanagan but it's a place best enjoyed from atop a very large pile of $100 bills. - Spocky

I agree, Asian Pear is kind of pricey. However, food is pretty good and they have a wide selection. Of interest was the lady wandering around with the microphone. She kept an eagle eye on the buffet - walking up and down and stirring - all the while speaking into the mic. We assumed it was a direct line to the kitchen, because not long after people would come out to replenish.

New place on Springfield, by the Shell - Vietnamese I believe. Friend of mine recommends it highly, the name has "Bamboo" in it somewhere.
I haven't failed until I quit.

Average at best for quality, much like the rest of the city. Larger selection of their deserts and salads, but I thought their main selection was just okay.
