Jo, I hard boiled the eggs first, then cracked the shells and added them to the smoker for 4 hours at about 75F. Wrapped in plastic wrap for 24 hours after they were cold. Use them in your favorite deviled egg recipe. Or add to a bechamel sauce, a bit of cooked salmon or chicken, or turkey.... Vol au Vent.... mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm mmmm OR in a potato salad, egg salad......

LANDM This is done using cold smoke so texture shouldn't change any more than leaving them at room temps for a few hours. and it turned out great. Smoked cheese make the most incredible 'shroom and cheese omelettes!

Anyone that doesn't have a smoker and wants to try cold smoke, you can jury rig something as simple as a coffee can smoker or even a cardboard box. Got an outdoor grill? Get a chip box for under $15 and you're good to go. Or use foil packets of wood chips. As long as you can keep the temperature below 100 you're good to go. https://www.google.com/search?q=diy+col ... It was eaten FAR too fast for pics, lol.

The man is obsessed. I mean one weekend producing smoked salmon, smoked trout, smoked eggs and smoked salt - we didn't go ANYwhere because he was busy smoking.

God help me.

Hoping this spring to get off my but and finally try my hand at smoking. Although my smoker barrel didn't survive the move very well (barrel got dropped) hopefully I can round it out better and get it half working to see if it's something i want to go deeper into.
So I love the Okanagan but it's a place best enjoyed from atop a very large pile of $100 bills. - Spocky

My biggest concern is that I will never again get to eat non-smoked food, lol.

Yes, 2 door 40", dual fuel. Have smoked several salmon, chicken, ribs, and a roast. I watch Pitmaster on TV to pick up on some tips, LOL.
