Best Burger?

Post by Bsuds »

OK in John Thompson's latest blurb he says Harvey's makes the best burger in Canada.

Where has he been eating and then why did the one at Home Depot close if they are so good.

I have had their burgers in the past and was not overly impressed. Mind you the same can be said for Johns blurb, it has not impressed lately either. :127:

We like 5 guys on the Westside for burgers, what's your favourite in Kelowna?

(edited to add Kelowna cause 1H2Obabe is picky)

Best burger can be found at the Golden Star ... little family run burger joint that makes a homemade burger that will knock your socks off. Closest in this area would be 5 Guys on this side of the bridge.

You did ask for best burger, not location. 5 Guys is pretty damn close to them so it's good when you need that running down your chin burger fix.

97St Pub has a GREAT burger since they started using that new Kitchen next door... Ask for their flagship burger and you'll be amazed!

As far as Kelowna area burgers go, I agree that Five Guys is pretty great.

I've never ever understood the hype over Harvey's burgers. Flamed grilled burgers? That's nice. Pick your own toppings...wow...just like at Subway! Not something special as far as I'm concerned.

Personally I like A&W, Carl's Jr, White Spot etc. more than Harvey's, but that's my preference.

If you ever want to travel a little bit, the Epic Burger and Sushi Bar (interesting but awesome combo) in Nelson has some of the best. The Sushi Burger was unreal. Panko coated rice "bun" with all of the sushi toppings (crab, avocado, etc.)...not for those trying to eat light...but when it comes to burgers, who is?

Too many burgers are over rated, and over priced. Honestly, my favorite is Burger Baron in rutland. Some might not agree, but if there is a burger that i crave for the last 15 years, it is that burgers. And the price is bang on. Added with a rootbeer milkshake. Boommm!!

Harvey's hasn't been around here for awhile and even when it was, it wasn't even on my top fifty list of burger joints.

Off topic here, but what the heck is Fat Burger and are their burgers any good? I was driving around Kelowna the other day with some people new to the Okanagan when two of the people in the back of the van started laughing hysterically, "FAT burger? Seriously? fat? Who would eat there? *ha ha ha ha!*"
