Was downtown today and noticed this from Parallel 49 . Its a 12 pack ( 4 different kinds ) with a surprise variety in the box , mine just happen to have Ugly Sweater ( their version of a milk stout ) . Never had a milk stout , its actually pretty good .

I bought that a while back for a friend's party :) Figured it had something for everyone... it was a hit!

We just bought a 6pack of the Ruby Tears yesterday, actually!

These guys have only been around for a few years but have definitely made a name for themselves.

Their bourbon barrel aged imperial maple stout was outstanding!

I personally haven't been disappointed by a single thing they have come out with.

Had one of these the other night and is pretty darn good. Nice citrus notes and floral aromas. I didn't get much alcohol taste which is somewhat surprising being that it is 8.5% alc./vol.

Truly! Their blood-alley bitter is delicious.

Have you had any of the Cannery products?

Nelson brewery has a new double ipa , it's called full nelson, and its 8.2% , so well balanced you don't even know your drinking that high of alcohol , but it is and really pack's a punch, so be careful, but so so tasty.

The pumpkin flavoured beer season is amongst us once again. Many craft breweries, and some not so craft breweries, seem to be embracing this increasingly popular seasonal beer style and concocting their own twist to this brew. I have not been impressed with the style thus far as most of the ones I have tried I have found to be too unbalanced (e.g., too much pumpkin, too much spice). However, I just picked up some of these last night as I have heard nothing but praise for this beer. Suffice to say I was quite impressed and had no problem polishing off a few.

It is a twist on the popular German Oktoberfest Marzen with the addition of some pumpkin; Very delicious! Anyone a fan of pumpkin beer?
