The Craft Beer Revolution!

Post by GoStumpy »

I'm fully on-board with the recent surge of craft-beer in local liquor stores, and pubs... so much so, I've started my own blog to document my beer adventures.... gives me purpose & a way to record all the different unique and amazing beers available through small craft breweries...

What craft beers have you had lately and loved? Hated

This is one of my favorites:

This one isn't too bad either, but it's a bit darker and bitter:

I'm starting to like Bitters, definitely going to be trying more in the coming months!

As of now, I am in love with good IPAs, favorite:

My favourite is a good dark smooth stout. And my favourite thing is to try craft beers from elsewhere. Whistler Brewery makes some damn fine stuff. And Seattle is overflowing with good choices. It is Paradise out there for craft beer drinkers. Puts a whole new (and better) spin on the word 'crafters', lol.

Good thread.

Jo, if you're ever in the lower mainland, I suggest this:

My brother is an even more avid craftbeeranist, and he says this is bar none by far the best stout he's EVER had... and he bought a few extra to store in his cellar :)

May be hard to find out here though!

I am drooling. And I live on the Island so this should not be a problem getting that beer, thanks for the tip.

Who likes sour ale? It is another personal favourite, VERY hard to come by in Canada but readily available stateside.

Waiting for my brother to wake up, he's been buying a lot of Sours lately...

This is one that's available at BCL:

Some links sent to me, I haven't had a chance to check them out, and also a link to a group I belong to on facebook:

PS - AAAAAACK, last time I begged them for more sour ales they didn't have any, must get down there. Sour ale is the best.

Scratch that, only the Subite Framboise is available at BCL. He must have aquired that one elsewhere in Van

Usually the sour ales come out as special batches a few times a year, yet stateside they run rampant. I may have to move there. . . .
