Reese's lovers brace yourselves.

Post by oneh2obabe »

The moment you've been waiting for is finally here.

The Hershey Company has launched their latest (possibly greatest) concoction -- a spreadable version of the peanut butter cup.

"Reese's Spreads offer an authentic Reese's experience to fans who are looking for delicious snack options throughout the day," Daren Russ, brand manager at Hershey's, says.

Let's think about all the ways we could eat this spread:
1. On an apple
2. On a piece of toast
3. On piece of toast with bananas
4. On a piece of toast with strawberries
5. On a pretzel
6. On ice cream
7. On a spoon
8. On a finger
9. On a plate
10 .On a knife
11. On a brick
12. On anything remotely edible

Your far better off sticking with peanut butter:

Hersey Spreads 37g of spread
21g of sugar compared to 2.5g of smooth peanut butter
23g carbohydrates compared to 10g of smooth peanut butter
1g of protein compared to 7.5g of smooth peanut butter
1g fibre compared to 2.5g of smooth peanut butter
I don't give a damn whether people/posters like me or dislike me, I'm not on earth to win any popularity contests.

Not something I would eat. Could you not just mix cocoa powder with peanut butter for a healthier option?

Fun Level = 0

Besides, as long as it is an occasional treat (just a few times a month), its “healthiness” (beyond the “will it seriously fark with your health with just one dose” question) should not be a determining factor.

Unfortunately, there will be f**kwits that will want to eat this every. Single. Day. Which is a small reason why we have an obesity epidemic (the big one being the “fats are evil” campaign that existed since the 1960s).

The Kraft chocolate peanut butter is pretty "meh"... What IS good is from IKEA "Chocladkrokant" (chocolate spread with butterscotch pieces) mmmmmmm...

I'll probably try the Reeses though, they're my fav candy bar :) it's not for regular consumption though that's for sure

Unless you want to live life and treat yourself everyone in awhile.

I'm not a big fan of Reese myself, I prefer Nutella on my warm toast- but I do love having a box of Reese cereal from time to time.

If you like Nutella, there's a British equivalent that is even better (in my book) - probably somewhere like Sunshine Market would carry it. Don't recall what it's called but it looks like Nutella but has a different name, lol. Like that's helpful, lol.
