here's a few good movies I watched recently

The Abduction of Eden- true story about human trafficking...sad and sickening

The Island- about human cloning, makes one wonder if this could ever happen in the future, especially when people can already pick "designer" babies right now...

The Chameleon- true story...I remember when this was all over the news back in 1996

and for the House of Cards (usa version) fans...remember the new season starts March 4th (yahoo !!)

Anybody who likes WW I and II movies might like Testament of Youth. It is based on a true story, very good watch. Moving without the manipulation of emotions so often seen in movies these days.

Watching Better Call Saul right now.

Slow start, but it's heated up right good.

I was wondering about that series, heard it was a spin off from Breaking Bad... really enjoyed that series and heard this one was good too.

Interesting thing about Netflix I didn't know, but it makes sense. When you're in the US, even though you have a Canadian account, when you log in, it goes to the US site. Was in my hotel room the other night, thought I'd finish up the "Godfather Trilogy" but Part 3 wasn't available in the US. Ended up watching "Spy Game" which was a movie I've been wanting to watch again for quite a while but the Canadian site doesn't have it.

Agreed. And at only eight episodes it's not a huge commitment. Well made, good story, good acting even if horror isn't your genre of choice like me. I kept seeing bits of ET and The Goonies in there.

Another Netflix series worth the effort is "Sense 8". Confusing as hell for the first couple of episodes but once it clicks you're wired.

Started into Marvel's "Daredevil" on Netflix. A couple of episodes in and it looks promising. Pretty dark and violent, but there seems to be a story in there.

I started into Season 1 last week and I can't leave it alone. Pretty good job for a bunch of no-name actors (at least up here, they might have some renown back home) and the narration gives it a bit of a documentary feel which works well with the story.
