At the Super 8? Would that be in the spot by Helmuts that there were a couple of flash in the pan places that opened and closed?

Can't think of the super 8........and yes, also wondering why "new".

Are you talking about The Italian Kitchen across from Canadian Tire at the, I think, Best Western?

Don't know of an Italian Restaurant near the Super 8

El Caballo.

I haven't been there myself, but I have heard good things. Hear the breakfast is really good. I wish them luck. That location almost seems cursed.

Sorry for being totally off topic, folks. My bad!
Gotta comment on El Caballo...you want REAL authentic Mexican food and I do mean AUTHENTIC better try this place. This isn't Tex Mex or Taco Time/Bell...this is Mexico on a plate. If you don't think my Gringo advice is worth the try....ask any one of the Mexican Nationals working/visiting/living in the Okanagan. If they've been to El Caballo they will tell you that the food tastes exactly like home. A must try if you want to have the real deal.

Check Tripadvisor out. Since we can't post negative comments here. I have not eaten there, but probably won't based on TA reviews. http://www.tripadvisor.ca/Restaurant_Review-g154933-d7286089-Reviews-The_Italian_Table-Kelowna_Okanagan_Valley_British_Columbia.html

Havnt been there myself, but I think like most places in town, its probably hit and miss. According to your link, It does have a higher then average rating at 3.5 out of 5 stars though
12 Very good, 9 Poor, 7 Excellent, 7 Average, 2 Terrible.

The Italian Table is run by the Twisted Tomato folks. I haven't been there, but based on their reputation it should be good. The location is horrible. I can't count the number of restaurants that have failed in that building, including Woodfire Bakery which thrives in another difficult location, but couldn't make a go of it on that corner. I wouldn't be shocked to see it empty again, so if you want to try it out I wouldn't dawdle.
