Amazing - Silly Putty in diet cola

I just made the discovery of the century.

Fast food restaurant adds silly putty into diet coke.

Wow. That ain't good.

Silly putty, as well as dimethylpolysiloxane, is non-toxic and safe to eat. What's the issue?

If you have ever filled a cup from a pop dispensing machine you would know why it needs an anti foaming agent.

As for being dense to eat silly putty just think of the age group that plays with it in the first place. Would you want your 5 year old ingesting something that was toxic? They don't know what they are putting in their mouths.

No one I grew up with as a crazy 6 year old didn't eat silly putty. It was too much like gum not to. As far as I know, it came out the other end as it should. The only difference was that it had an imprint of my colon on it. Cool stuff.

Given the chemical makeup of diet coke, I think that the silly putty is probably the most wholesome ingredient.

To be clear, dimethylpolysiloxane is not Silly Putty... it's an ingredient in Silly Putty. So saying Silly Putty is in diet cola would be like saying Crystal Drano drain cleaner is in almost everything we eat because it has table salt in it.

And it doesn't matter anyway... it's completely safe and non-toxic. This is a lame discovery.
