I too won't every buy a Lincoln... but it's because I would never spend that much money on a car. Not buying a car because of the person they have in a commercial seems kinda dumb to me.

I wonder if he's thinking that "stund in a daze" look is so captivating he's just gotta win some kind of award for that.

lol!
I know how you feel but for its Jeff Bridges. I just wish King Kong had eaten him when he was starting out.

But for Matt, why the hell not? Probably took a weekend and he got paid enough to buy an island. You posters can keep your principles all you want but he's going sailing. :smt045

You won't buy a Lincoln because he is a spokesperson for them? Well, that's Just stupid.

Based on your logic, you must not purchase much of anything really because, let's face it, most ads are stupid but if that was the barometer to buy or not buy? There wouldn't be much buying going on.

Agreed that they are a bit on the pricey side but I gotta say, I love mine and the wife loves hers. Certainly one of the nicest class of car we have ever owned and no, Matthew had nothing to do with our decision.

Personally, I like the guy. I think he has a great quality about him. What he went through to play the part in Dallas buyers club was amazing and he acted the crap outta the role, I thought as did Jared Leto and him I am not crazy about. He reminds of Jake Gylenhall (sp?) and he creeps me out.

I also don't buy Sleeman beer because their ads are stupid and stretch the truth. I also found Alexander Keiths beer commercials annoying until their "Scots" spokesperson got busted for child porn so I never bought their beer. Call it stupid if you like but if I find a company's ads annoying, and by extension them as well, I don't buy their products.

I can be like that too, if I see a company vehicle being driven poorly/rudely I'll avoid that business. McConaughey I can take or leave. He's got a job to do and does it well enough to keep me entertained. I found the first season of "True Detective" riveting, and I enjoyed him in a couple of older movies, "Contact" and "Lincoln Lawyer", but he certainly is getting a little rougher around the edges as he ages. Makes him better geared towards darker roles I suppose.

I do the same thing. If I see someone driving a company vehicle like an asshat, I won't give them my business. Incidentally, I've noticed that people who drive Kelowna Rockets vehicles always seem to speed. I have to admit, I did like Matthew M in Armistad.
