Where to buy saffron in Kelowna
Anyone know of a store in the Okanagan that I can buy saffron, in its raw form? ie not powdered. I know I've seen the threads in little plastic vials in stores in Vancouver.

They have it at Costco but not sure if it was powdered. Urban Fare probably carries it too.

Bulk Barn carries saffron threads. Usually found at the front by the cash register.

Ahhh thanks for the suggestions. I completely forgot about Urban Fare, don't go that way much. I never thought to try Bulk Barn.

We buy it al Bulk Barn. It's not very good, but it's better than nothing. Just like anything at Bulk Barn I guess...

Valoroso has it; it is in little, clear boxes.

Yes, in Keremeos. You can find it at the farm market on Highway 3, don’t know the name sorry, but it’s on the south side of the highway, at the first intersection if coming in from the west (Vancouver ) on Highway 3. It has a restaurant attached to it. A small vial of saffron threads costs $9.99, locally grown behind the market.

Alarm bells ringing in my ears
The likelihood of REAL saffron grown locally in the Okanagan makes a Skunk roll over in the clover, over and over.
I have moon rocks for sale, right beside the saffron, in the back parking lot of the grocery store. Look for the (real) vanilla coloured van with pirate’s flag hoisted above.
Good prices.
