Need Help sourcing a treat
Okay - I have a friend who is diabetic. She's also allergic to corn, gluten, chocolate, strawberries and can't have rice in large quantities.
She is going through a very tough time right now as her mom was diagnosed with lung cancer. I wanted to cheer her up with a treat - but what the heck should I do? Normally I'd bake - but that is right out. Most fruit has too much natural sugar for her.
Help?

I haven't failed until I quit.

Pedicure? Lots of little places in town, charge 40-50 bucks. Higher end is 70 or so, but a way better massage.

Try baking with Stevia, Google has lots of recipes. Good luck.

That helps a little but it still needs to be gluten free.
What does this poor woman usually eat for a treat?

That's worked out great for me!

Try the cheesecake guy in lake country. Mr D's I think it is. I believe he has all gluten free and will likely have sugar free also. Very good stuff.

What about a little self care basket? A few ideas:
An alcoholic beverage, and/or premium tea or coffee with a cute coffee mug, a bath bomb and/or a nice shower gel, body lotion or hand cream, facial mask, candles, some magazines or a book, a book of inspirational stories, a book mark if she's a reader, a bag of her favourite chips, a bag of diabetic candies, some home canning if you have it. If she's into it, an adult colouring book with colouring pencils, a journal, some tissues, a gift card to her favourite store, and a personal note telling your friend how much she means to you.

Thanks for all the ideas! At the moment she's living at the hospital, I'm trying to get her to take a tea break but no go so far. What I do get will end up being delivered by her significant other, probably.
