Vietnamese Themed Christmas Eve Dinner

Post by goldengirl »

Hey guys, put your thinking caps on! I'm looking ideas for Vietnamese food. Spring Rolls, Salad Rolls, Gyoza, etc... finger foods. Looking for recipes or maybe someone who makes it at home that we can buy from. We already have the tested and tried soups figured out. Thanks.

Lettuce wraps are good. Flavour up the beef with lemon grass, hot chili peppers, garlic, spring onions and wrap around lettuce leaves.

When I worked at the Saigon they had a special curler that made carrot curls.

Garnish lettuce wraps with carrot curls made by your peeler.
As WW3 develops, no one is going to be dissing the "preppers." What have you done?

Drop in or phone Vietnam Village Restaurant and see if they can help. If not, they should be able to point you in the right direction.

I hope you picked up lemon grass, it is not the same to use real lemon, not the same at all. Youtube has instructional vids as to how to use it.
