Why I watch Fox's filthy Family Guy
Despite a decline in viewership, Family Guy is still managing decent ratings more than 15 years into its run. ... one of FOX‘s highest-rated shows for the 2016-2017 season.
I watch Family Guy occasionally. I don't think the show is funny. In fact I haven't laughed once in fifteen years watching the show. I watch it for the same reason anyone watches anything produced by Hollywood - because there's nothing else to do, and a mediocre show is better than nothing. And now, I almost never watch that show any more, since there is more choices on Netflix, and Youtube.
The sheeple are always debating whether Family Guy is suitable for kids. Or not. One parent says : Family Guy is a good show, mainly for teens and young adults. It's raunchy potty humor and random hilarity keep young teens interested...
Myself - I couldn't care less who watches it. But I do wonder why the producers continually throw in "jokes" that aren't funny, but are more like goose crap at the park - they're filthy - that you avoid stepping in, just so you can enjoy being in the park. And I wonder how "crap" for kids minds affects them? Not that I care though. It's up to each person to decide how much crapp they want to put into their own minds.
Another thing I wondered - why is everyone in Family Guy gay at some point in the shows? I don't find it funny. Does anyone else find it funny?
^ that's the executive producer of Family guy - Aaron Lee.

Re: Why I watch Fox's filthy Family Guy
One theory is that filth and perversion sells. So we can blame the people who watch the show, whenever it's obscene and repulsive.
My theory is the show starts out by getting talented people, talented artists, talented voices, etc and then some Hollywood weirdo freak takes over and starts filling it with filth and perversion. Many people don't like it but they keep watching.
Simpleton Parents are always asking the question "At what age should kids be allowed to watch Family Guy?"
The answer is - children should be allowed to watch filth and perversion at any age. They get conditioned by it.
So it won't cause any harm. Or just tell the kid it's total crap, and to watch something else.

I watched it once back in '99 on Kelowna local t.v. about 5:30 in the afternoon. Sent in a complaint it shouldn't be on t.v. so early, just 'cause it is cartoon characters it is not a children's program. It was pulled from that time slot and aired later. Never watched it again.

Family Guy is not as funny as it used to be but they still come up with some hilarious lines..........I have hit the floor many times.......but that's me. I am sure many people commenting about this never "got" Monty Python, National Lampoon, The Onion and many other mediums of comedy. If it upsets you......turn it off. Could never understand the "puritan's" that actually called in or wrote complaints because their world was turned upside down by T.V.

I think Seth MacFarlane is a funny and talented voice actor that pokes fun at fuddy duddies. Everyone can feel free to disagree with me...And then try to ban be... which would be the typical fuddy duddies.
Honestly, save the "scripture" for Sunday. Don't watch and don't talk about it if it so problematic in your lives.
Seriously, my next thread is going to about about how what makes others laugh the taboo subject of the day ;)

There's part of your problem right there. When watching Family Guy becomes the best option for spending your time you might want to examine your life and how you keep yourself occupied. Consider finding a hobby of interest and then you won't have time to watch "crappy" programming.

Re: Why I watch Fox's filthy Family Guy
Seth McFarlane made $100 million. He is talented.
But the Hollyweird producer freaks are seriously twisted in the head. It's not suitable for kids at all.
From Youtube:
Family Guy - Quagmire ponders rape
Family Guy - you´re not gonna rape me
Raped by a Clown
And parents are wondering - is it good for ten year olds? Good for thirteen year olds?
Wow.
When I first saw my son watching this show I was concerned. I sat down an watched the show with him, just to check it out. I do recommend this show for people who like comedy. And it is safe for children, as long as you let them know not to follow the shows actions or laguage.

lot's of double-speak in your post ie, "i don't care...but"
if you think the show sucks then stop watching. If you are bothered by its "filthy" humour, and continue to watch it, then its writers are doing a good job
it's 2017, there is no such thing "nothing else to watch" in this wonderful age of the internet
