Worst service ever!

Post by Bsuds »

Our RVing group met for lunch today at a local restaurant. I won't mention the name because we have eaten there before with no issues. I will say it was an Oriental food place that has been around a long time in Kelowna.

When we arrived they told us the were late opening because 2 people called in sick. There were about 20 of us and 2 1/2 hrs later 8 people had still not received their food. Some that did couldn't eat because it was too cold. We were never offered drinks but they did serve water.

I have never had service this bad ever before! My meal was hot and wife's was cold so we didn't pay for hers.

I doubt we will ever go there again.

If anyone wants to know where this was PM me.
My Wife asked me if I knew what her favorite flower was?

I am so sorry this happened to you, Bsuds. :( How often does your group meet?
I haven't failed until I quit.

If you want to warn others of your experience, you should write a review on TripAdvisor.

You've eaten there before with no problems and they dropped the ball once and you're ready to spread the negative review to all and sundry?

If it is the location I believe it is, my last visit was in the Spring and it was terrible. I'm not going back there.

I was with a group of Friends, normally I get take out from either from Golden Chopsticks or Wok Out (it was neither of these places)

Off topic but "worst service ever" reminded me of the movie "Super Troopers" where the cop is placing his order................. "I'll have a Bacon Double Cheeseburger"................Clerk............."one Bacon Double Cheeseburger".............."its for a cop"!

Priceless!!

Yup, 2 hours to be served is not acceptable anytime, anywhere.

I get takeout vast majority of the time.
2 places on both sides of Okanagan Lake that are okay:
Kelowna side
J-Wok
Wok Out
West Kelowna
Golden Chopsticks
Mei Wei

There is nothing wrong with expecting at least a reasonable minimum level of service. 2 1/2 hours to serve a meal doesn't quite meet any standards above embarrassingly deplorable.

Gordon Ramsey would not be impressed. Rightfully so.
Someone has to say it.

I have tried MANY Chinese food places over the years. I have found that Wok-Out is the best. In Glenmore it is take-away/delivery only, and that is okay by me. The owner's name is Ron, he is a very nice guy.
