Would you eat seal meat?

A few days back we had a lively discussion about eating beaver meat and the implications of slaughtering a beaver family on Pender Island.

But would you eat seal meat? Why or why not? Is it like any other harvested wild meat? Like White-tail buck, or rabbit or bear meat?

I keep seeing baby seals being clubbed, and cant' get past it.

Am I a bleeding heart  for wild animals? Cute four legged creatures? Or flippered ones?

Seared Seal anyone?

I would definitely try it! The article describes a bit about the taste of it, but I would try pretty much anything once.

To add, the seal population is waaaay out of control and a cull needs to take place anyways. Two puffins, one stone.
