Actually from looking at the detailed danger class stuff Lilloett has been trending Extreme and High for the last little while. Fires in that area can be nasty, it's steep, naturally dry, dead trees and like you said windy.

The road has now opened to single lane alternating traffic. No mention of this fire on the website so I'm guessing it's probably just burning up a bunch of sage brush and not going up into the trees.
Edited to add: The fire is now up on the website. The "Hwy 99 N of Lillooet" fire is now 18 hectares.
