I just saw a FD SUV, tanker truck, ladder truck and small firetruck thing race up beaver lake road! I heard more sirens still after I went inside.

Looks like this thread has turned into a issue about people that smoke and throw the butts out the window..... there is a thread just for that topic.....has anyone heard what actually happened so we can answer the question originally asked.

Funny thing about the comment "Man made fire" it can be alot of things but it always gravitates to smokers or campfires. I fought fires for the Forestry back in the late 60's and in the Kamloops area alot of our responses were because of trains. If you recall the rail line used to come down the hill in behind the game farm and all the hop fields and chunks of hot brake shoes were always starting fires. They are currently logging around Beaver Lake and have to use alot of braking to come down, perhaps it could be this. Lots of hunters and quads right now and they have brakes and hot exhausts. Yes I smoke and no I don't throw them out the window. So enough already, sheesh!

It just drives me nuts when Simpletons feel that every single cigarette butt thrown out a window causes a fire.
When the cause of a fire is not determined, immediately, it's an improperly discarded butt.
There are a few different things that could start a fire.

Anyone remember the fire a few years ago down south that was, "Almost certainly caused by a smoker throwing a cigarette out the window"?
Anyone remember when it turned out to be caused by a passing truck?
Or how about the one recently, "It's pretty close to the road, so it was a smoker."
Is this seriously what passes for an investigation these days? Can you imagine if everything was "investigated" in this manner?

But yeah, it's valid to blame smokers for every fire without actually knowing what happened.
