Porn Addiction is Ruining Marriges and Families

Post by Glacier »

Addiction to internet pornography is increasing at an alarming rate. This is bad for marriages and families because it creates unhealthy and unsatisfied sex lives and a host of other marital problems.

Those falling victim to this very modern scourge are, above all, the respectable middle-class white-collar workers whose professions inevitably bring them into contact with the internet on a daily basis.

Many are professional people - accountants, doctors, company directors and managers - who, say experts, use internet pornography as an escape from the stresses and strains of their working life.

Retired men who find themselves at home with nothing to do are also among an increasing group of users.

The instant accessibility of internet pornography and the ability to view anonymously and in privacy are proving to be a toxic combination.

One psychotherapist has even gone so far as to label the phenomenon 'the crack cocaine of the internet'.

The statistics speak for themselves: 12 per cent of all websites are pornographic, 25 per cent of all search engine requests are pornographic, and 35 per cent of all internet downloads are pornographic. 'Sex' is the most-searched word on the internet.
