Not a complaint...just a kudo

Post by Barney Google »

Really liking all the new smilies that are being added.

I can really relate to this one :chicken: but haven't found a practical use for it yet!

To who ever 'makes this happen' ....THANKS!

Makes posting even more fun...brings humour and often a reality check on some of our threads!

TANKS!!!!

Here is one use for that smiley:

"Last night for dinner we had chicken cacciatore (pronounced catch-a-tory) :chicken: " (picture the chicken with the head of Rona Ambrose)

As a newcomer to postings I am mystified by the use of "imo" and "imho"

What do they mean?
Sufficiently advanced incompetence is indistinguishable from malice. There’s a certain point at which ignorance becomes malice, at which there is simply no way to become THAT ignorant except deliberately and maliciously.

IMO - In my opinion
IMHO - In My Humble opinion.

There is lots of texting words being bandied about lately.

Will someone explain dearly departed's Donald G's WARDR again please?
As WW3 develops, no one is going to be dissing the "preppers." What have you done?

So, just putting two and two together, I take it that since YOU answered you are a moderator, not an off the street poster such as moi?

And, if so, that would explain why you start up a goodly number of new threads? No complaints about that as I am
just wondering how all this works in Castanet.

"BTW" (i did figure this out, all by myself!) must say I have been watching TV news hour (aka advertising hour) much less as news items more immediate without the pesky ads here on Castanet. Kudos.

An example is the mysterious fire on BX last night. Got replies within a short time to my queries. :D

Wasn't it just WADR?
With all due respect, I think it was.

lol.....I only knew WADR in a respectful frame from DG but I haven't been around that long. U know what I miss the most is how Donald was a forum participant who in my experience approached each thread/topic/member independently of past contributions and IMO avoided any cliques and evaluated each post on its merits and seemed immune to the influences of previous contributions and/or 'cliques'. It felt to me that he was truly objective and able to focus on the topic/discussion versus personalizing the post and at the same time he was very open and welcoming to new members. IMO CN needs many more like Donald.

Hey, i have tried and just cannot upload my Avatar.

Is it possible for me to send it to you via email and you attach it for me? Otherwise, my signature will not make sense to those without chemistry text at hand

Thanks

It needs to be no bigger than 80x80. You probably just need to resize it.
My Wife asked me if I knew what her favorite flower was?
Apparently "Robin Hood All Purpose" was the wrong answer!
