Good point – and neither of those two women are any less attractive than Ms. Clark. In fact, I personally find Ms. Taylor more attractive – and Ms. Clark, not really out of the ordinary at all (not that I’d be inclined to ask either of them on a date having a taste for more striking women). But this shouldn’t even be about looks – which makes your point even more significant.

Supposed winks and wiggles and responding to an ignorant comment from an interviewer in a light manner are all mortal sins to some on here. Meanwhile, forging a document, cheating to win a leadership contest, and breaking election laws during by-elections are just fine.
If only some of the Dix-bashers could present us with a viable alternative to re-electing a government that used $6,000,000 of taxpayer money to pay off fall guys (convicted criminals) in obstructing court process, is forcing taxpayers to pay huge court costs by refusing to disclose what was promised to be public information, is currently cooking the books and has contractually obligated taxpayers to pay out billions (that's billions with a "b") over the next few decades in an IPP con, and is using taxpayer money to fund deliberately misleading Crown corporation and TV propaganda. If the Dix-bashers weren’t implicitly supporting four more years of the status quo we might have somewhere to go with this discussion. There is nothing more important than removing this current government from power.

Ya, probably just “back-pay”

Y'know ............ it occurs to me that all these armchair critics have had all the time in the world to come up with what CC should have said when asked that rude question out of the blue on air. Bet they would do no better if it was them on the hot seat. I doubt even FF would have a handy answer on the spur of the moment but she's quick to criticize.

My answer would have been 'CLICK' - the sound of a phone being hung up. What would YOUR answer have been GF?

Considering your taste you would say a fence post with hair was HOT!!!!!!
Diane Watts is, in my opinion an attractive lady, but she has gifts that our premier photo op has no hope in possessing - intelligence and professionalism. That is way more attractive to women than glib frat brand humor. As Leslie Boldt said today:

Christie's response to Drex did not do her any favors.

Suuurrre it would have been - so says you now after all this time to give it some thought. But taken aback at the moment, I doubt you know what you would have said because answers like that are reactionary, and until in that time and space, you just don't know for certain.
So, to answer your question ... I don't know what I would have said or done.

No GF that was my immediate response as soon as I heard the question from Drex. I was appalled that Christie raucously laughed for several seconds and then responded with frat humor.
Premier photo op was NOT 'taken aback' - there was no momentary silence from her indicating that she felt if was a TOTALLY inappropriate question. But then she responded in a most inappropriate and stupid manner which not only demeaned her but her position as premier of our province.

What???!! You didn't pause to consider that maybe you didn't hear the question right? No fraction of a second hesitation? Sure, FF. Sure. Maybe you should become a politician - you've got the stretch the truth part down pat already.
You must have listened to a different version than I did .. there was an awkward pause and she did seem taken aback - and I sure didn't hear any "raucous laughter" but I did hear some "cover up my embarrassment and uncomfortable feelings" forced laughter.
Are you sure the NDP didn't edit your version for maximum attack effect? I wouldn't put it past them.
As Urbane said - it would not have mattered what CC answered - it would be wrong in your eyes and in the eyes of your party bitchin' faithful. If she had hung up, you would have said she was ducking the question. Hell, it wouldn't surprise me at even remotely if that was all planned from the beginning to discredit the premier. Tacky, tacky, tacky. I think the NDP need to grow up and act like adults instead of like little children hell bent on throwing temper tantrums in public.

Nope, it is entirely within the realm of what lows the NDP will stoop to discredit the competition. Mind you, the Liberals are no better.
It's all about the spin.

But to say the NDP 'doctored' the tape is really beyond the pall... Just go to the Province and get the original.

You are right...perhaps "back-dated" is a more relevant term, considering that's the MO of the current nutless leader of the NDP...
The problems we face today are there because the people who work for a living are now outnumbered by those who vote for a living.
