Naloxone bandwagon

Postby the truth » May 30th, 2017, 7:58 am

http://www.ambulancedriverfiles.com/201 ... e-crowded/ ,good article here for those of you who think that , you can just inject a drug user without being highly trained,i know of work places were bosses have purchased these kits and told there staff to just read the simple instructions that come with the kit and they will be good to go , :200: this whole thing is just becoming a big joke

Well I'm sure soon enough we'll hear numbers on how many people misused or used it not for it's intended purpose.

Still better than going around Kelowna with a gun and blowing away addicts as others here have suggested.

And how exactly do you know of these businesses that are not training people how to use the kit? Sounds like you heard some anecdotal evidence which is never solid evidence to support an argument.

Naloxone has little to no effect on someone if they don't have opioids in their systems.

There will always be someone trying everything under the sun to get high, but actual addicts are likely quite aware that Naloxone isn't going provide a buzz.

The "new" thing going around is the thrill of OD ing just to see if someone has a kit ........

What ever happened to the "humour" people got out of the Darwin Awards ?

"They deserved it" they'd say .....
I payed attention in High school....But not to what they were trying to teach me..

So.... You mean your typical "I know a guy who said his brother's sister heard from the Pharmacist's Wife that..." routine.

Yeah, Truthy. I'm always okay with you citing these sources as the basis for your arguments.

Please never stop.

And where in the hell did this little gem come from?

I literally can't stop laughing. I mean it's difficult to type right now due to the shoulder shrugging going on...
Where do you fellas even get this stuff from?

The "new" thing?

Sounds like a killer Friday night... *snicker* :200:

I call BS. Not that you weren't told this, but rather that it is just not happening in any real numbers. I too have heard incredible stories from people who should know better.

I'm certain that if I said it was a nice day, you and your cohorts would argue endlessly with me about it.
Therefore, your opinion holds as little credence with me as I'm sure mine does with you.

Just another example tho of the liberal minds head in the clouds.

Its a shame some people can't get better help. Other countries have been way more effective than us in dealing with drug crises. The whole Naloxone thing seems more of a bandaid than a solution. Better than nothing, but it ain't gonna fix all that much.
