Contrary to what many financial advisors would recommend, I would never remove the equity in my personal dwelling.
I wouldnt use my home in any risk.
Rental housing, other biz assets yes, but I'd never risk my home.
In today's world there's lots of real estate roulette being played. I can handle taking a hit when the rest of the world does- I've taken enough hits when everyone else didnt- I learned from those.
I know a lot who have used their personal residence as a credit card, ironically two of them are financial planners who haven't much worth and at a time when they should be at their live's peak.
I wouldnt.
The whole planet can tank but I'll always have a home that's mine .
I look on soc media now, there's so many in a housing crunch.
People willing to pay 2 k a month just to have a place to sleep. It's so sad.
I wouldnt risk letting that happen to me.

My stupid dump assessment only went up a measly 2 k a week over the last year.
But it's mine.

Wife wants a bigger place.

We don't even have to sell this one, we'll rent it out or something.

$700k mortgage? Are you illiterate? Fact is you’re a pathetic loser who’s only path to owning a home is hoping everyone else loses theirs. Good luck sparky, I’m sure by the time one of your outlandish predictions comes true my house will be paid off. Why not get off the forums and get to work instead of moaning non stop about how life isn’t fair? Keep poking fun at one of my hobbies that actually makes me money while you dream of investing in crypto’s. Is that mom calling you for supper?

Face it. You've missed forum. There is no one else on the castanet forums you talk to like this. ^^

I just like calling out idiots on their bullsh1t. The guy can’t math to save his life yet he’s giving advice on subjects he’s got no experience with? He laughs at averaging out gains/losses over the hold period of an asset yet thinks he’s an investing genius? Lols at anyone who works for a living while he pretends to be a basement dwelling Buffett? *removed*

You had no call to add those last three words to your diatrabe. None.

You don't believe him, okay, but your anger and rage shines through.

He will be renting forever anyways. Pretty easy to get a psychological profile that is pretty accurate by now, regardless of the anonymity.
