Rickard said a yellow lab and husky killed the deer. She was frustrated by an incident that could have been prevented if the dogs were on a leash.

Another case of irresponsible owners.

Insp. Kevin Leitch with the city's bylaw services branch says the three-year-old girl was in her family home on Friday night with other family members when the dog bit her head.

Lots of people. Me.

My girl just died last week. She gave us 13 1/2 wonderful years. My boy passed at the same age the year before. They were great dogs and changed many peoples minds on the breed. Don't be so ignorant.

I am so sorry for your loss. Fur babies are so much a part of the family it is devastating when they leave us. It's comforting to know they were such good ambassadors.

I don't mind if adults face the consequences for their poor decisions, but a 3 year old kid should not.

What are you talking about? I never made any poor decisions. Your ignorance is showing.

And children should be monitored around dogs. I've seen kids pull ears, tails, hair and kick them and parents don't teach their kids to let sleeping dogs lie. Who knows what the breeding is behind some of these junkyard dogs.

I hope the purebred pitbull Rosie gets found by their owners - they must be frantic.
