What scandals were Wilkinson responsible for? Signing the severance cheque for Adrian Dix? No, that was John Horgan! The NDP government of the 1990's was riddled with scandals with two premiers resigning. One resigned to take the fall for the party in general and the other one resigned in disgrace. Then there was the fudge it budget, the fast ferries et all and you talk about Liberal scandals??? Too funny.

It's a shame some on here CANNOT be respectful. That is the hard core NDP way.
That's so true and so sad. It's also counterproductive. The last time the NDP won an election was 1996!

I do remember all the personal attacks against Clark.. because of course she is a woman. Haven't read anyone mocking Andy's ears yet tho
No GB, I think a more edgy Marvel movie type Party Name
Personally I feel there should be a time line set re how many years one can be a Politician.

There's no question that some of the NDP'ers on here were so hoping that Dianne Watts would win the leadership because they had their sexist attacks ready to go. Wilkinson winning is a bummer for them.

Wilkinson will always be known as Last Desperate Choice.
Why do people who fancy themselves "fiscal conservatives" not scream at hidden debt accumulated in the past dozen years? Or, do they only object to spending on social programs?

There was enough interest for there to be a choice. Apparently it was a position people actually wanted, so he didn't end up with it by acclamation.

Supposition.

No one is bummed out because Wilkinson won.

Are you refering to present company?

There have been plenty of good female leaders in the past-Elizabeth 1st,Cath.the great,Thatcher...lots.
Some would view my above politically incorrect opinions as 'harsh' and may even be offended by them...That should just about cover why some nations are laughing at how soft and weak we have become.

I guess you don't know much about Thatcher then. She was a terrible leader, terrible person and did a huge amount of damage to the UK, from which much of it has not recovered.
