Rachel Notley's press conferences

Postby Cactusflower » Feb 23rd, 2018, 1:10 pm

https://www.castanet.net/news/BC/219608 ... -tentative
I think it's fair to say that the Alberta premier is an ignorant shrew. She won't admit that her banning of B.C. wines was illegal under the CFTA, and she continues to falsely accuse Horgan of doing something illegal. This harridan will get her comeuppance, just wait and see.

And I think it's fair to say that the unelected boob we have running BC is an ignorant bonehead. He won't admit that his delay of the KM pipeline is illegal under the Constitution, and he continues to falsely accuse Notley of doing something illegal. This brainless boob will get his comeuppance, just wait and see.

There is only one ignorant shrew here. I wonder if you understand what libel is?

Perhaps we should all just consider the source of this muck, and leave it at that.

The Canadian Press is the source. Are you calling their reporting 'muck'? Would you prefer we lived in a fascist state where the media is forbidden to report any adverse news about the government?

Here's a quote from your link.

Alberta Premier Rachel Notley says, "I think it is fair to say that in a small way today B.C. blinked," Notley told reporters at the legislature in Edmonton.

"B.C. is stepping back from the brink and abiding by the law, and this is a good thing."

Only in your mind, CF.

Glad to see this thread is where it belongs. Muck on.

Perhaps you should look up the word 'irony' in your Funk & Wagnalls. It doesn't mean what you think it does.

Don’t have a Funk & Wagnell, but I found this quite easily:

"a state of affairs or an event that seems deliberately contrary to what one expects and is often amusing as a result"

… such as suggesting Notley is doing something illegal while at the same time suggesting our own Premier has the authority to stop the pipeline. Perhaps hypocrisy would have been a better choice of words.

"the practice of claiming to have moral standards or beliefs to which one's own behavior does not conform "

In which dictionary did you find those little nuggets of information? However, it's nice to know that you find humour in this discussion.

I used Google. It’s really fast. Of course, being so concerned about our use of petroleum products
you wouldn’t be using a device capable of accessing the Internet. :135: Oh, wait …

You do bring the comedy to it [icon_lol2.gif]

I don’t think he was calling the Canadian Press’s reporting “muck”. :130:
