Opening salvo:

The BC NDP did not win the election, but with a complicit Green party, usurped governance in a move that is contrary to Canadian parliamentary traditions, and contrary to what the Green party had stated during the election - which was that they would support the party with the most seats.

The result so far has been chaotic at best, as it has become readily apparent the BC NDP had and have no cohesive plan for governance.
Anyone but Scheer - career pols are know nothings.

Certainly worrying times.
"Tax & spend" socialist provincial government coupled with a "Tax & spend" , limp wristed federal government.
Add to this a U.S Government that is reducing taxes and regulatory red tape.

I think we are in for a rough ride over the next couple of years. :cuss:
I hope I am wrong.

LOL - I love it. Those who mercilessly bashed the BC Liberals for years now crying about their party being called out for their constant stupidity. And that's what it is too - all people are doing is telling the truth - the NDP are constantly making really stupid mistakes. It's not "bashing" as much as just telling the truth. And for the most part, without making comments about the physical appearances of the NDP leader and his evil cranially-challenged minions. So strange, after all of the "chipmunk smile" Christy bashing we had here from the NDP sheep.

Did no one put a certain poster on their Foe list and never see that poster's posts again? :135:

At the moment, the BC NDP is struggling with the LEAP faction, and they need to make up their minds.

This puts the LEAP problem in perspective: https://www.theglobeandmail.com/news/politics/canadians-wont-accept-leap-because-it-breaks-these-two-rules/article29676015/

A few key excerpts:

"If you wanted to derail environmentalism in Canada, you couldn't dream up a better scheme than the Leap Manifesto. If your intent was to wound a New Democratic Party already in peril, the Leap Manifesto would be a great weapon of choice."

SNIP

"The large majority of us, to boil our stereotypes down, are cautious, prudent people with progressive ideals. Because we worry that our economy is always vulnerable to events outside our borders, we never take our economic well-being for granted.

When we choose politicians we never lose sight of the fact that we can't take prosperity for granted. That's not the same as saying it's always and only ever about the economy. But it does mean that we look to solve our other problems in ways that don't raise the risk of economic failure."

SNIP

"Canadians want "pro-growth environmentalism." They want to tap entrepreneurship, innovation, technology, science, capital and yes, capitalism, to help create ideas that marry our desire to put food on the table, money away for our kids' education, and some sense of security about how we're going to live in retirement."

This is where we see the BC NDP/LEAP, fueled by Green sniping, going off track. It is creating a schizophrenia in the governance of BC. The BC NDP have continued site C - to chorus of boos from the Greens and LEAPers. The BC NDP have flip flopped and are now supporting LNG development - to a chorus of boos from the Greens and LEAPers.

The BC NDP/LEAP are ginning up all manner of stuff and nonsense over the TMX. Entirely schizophrenic given the previous two positions. It has generated a "war" with the traditional "working persons" NDP government in Alberta.

One has to suspect that the BC NDP/LEAP are at the forefront of a civil war for the soul of the NDP writ large, and will it be that the LEAP nutbars win?

The BC NDP were already a "coalition of protest" - a position that John Horgan has decried for years. Is that coalition about to rupture? Certainly it will if the TMX is completed - and that is Weaver's game - divide the NDP and conquer. If Weaver and the Greens get the PR they are drooling after - the BC NDP are burnt toast. And the Liberals come back with a vengeance as the only viable alternative for stable governance.

The BC NDP do have an option - boot the LEAPers and get on with the business of governance. That would leave the BC NDP in the position they have traditionally held, that of the only credible option to the Liberals. Show that the BC NDP can indeed do a good job, put the 1990s behind them, and move forward as a genuine "working people's" party.
