Hollywood. Hurtin

Postby Jflem1983 » Oct 15th, 2018, 4:46 am

Love watching the downfall of Hollywood. As more people cut cable and stop going to movies. The power of lies and propaghanda sold by hollywood elites wanes.

Last decade has seen huge money come from China. However the movies have all tanked.

I cheer at each flop. The people this industry employs are pure trash. Social justice clowns.

I think it is high time we stop subsidizing these crooks with Canadian tax dollars. BC film industry is all subsidies. Without the tax dollars it will die. Let it die . Bernier 2019
Now they want to take our guns away . That would be just fine. Take em away from the criminals first . Ill gladly give u mine. "Charlie Daniels"

You have got to stand for something . Or you will fall for anything "Aaron Tippin"

Oh the irony of the right hating on Hollywood after they elect celebrities like Reagan and Trump. [icon_lol2.gif]

Michael Moore's latest pack of lies...er "documentary" apparently bombed big time. Maybe people are starting to wise up to these losers???

It's apparently an excellent documentary but to be honest, the last person's face I want to see on a night out for fun and relaxation is Donald Trump's.

Are you not thinking of all the spin off jobs provided by the movie/tv industry? :135:

I liked the Wall Street Journal's take:

The punditry is trite. The snark is boring.

I get it though. If you only read alt-left articles, you'd think it was "excellent".

but to be honest, the last person's face I want to see on a night out for fun and relaxation is Donald Trump's.

agree on that one. I see enough of his face on every talk show and on loser alt-left shows like Samantha Bee, Trevor Noah and John Oliver. All they ever do is talk about Trump. All the time. I get that they are playing to their base, and their base wants to hear "Trump sucks" 24 hours a day, but it also keeps Trump at the fore-front of the news. I don't know how a Democrat candidate is supposed to compete with that free media firehouse.

It received 78% on the tomatometer (which is pretty good) and 58% from viewers (which I'd say reflects Trump's disapproval ratings). It's obviously not your choice in movies given your tribalism and the WSJ tends to lean right on opinion pieces so not exactly the place I'd go for an unbiased review either.

58% from viewers

That's the definition of excellent? :135:

Maybe a slanted left wing biased definition.

Michael Moore is a alt-left wing heavily biased idiot. Not worth watching.

Could be used to torture prisoners though.

Judge: I sentence you to 1 year in prison or forced to watch Michael Moore films for 1 week. Your choice.
Criminal: I'll do the year, thank you very much.
Why use a big word when a diminutive one will suffice.

That's nice. What I was referring to though was that his movie was an economic bomb. No one went to it. So I'm glad that 58 of the 100 people who saw this dreck thought it good, but it still tanked big time, which is actually a departure from his other lie-filled "documentaries", that weren't documentaries.

It's obviously not your choice in movies given your tribalism

"given my tribalism"? What kind of idiotic comment is this? Tribalism?? Just insanely stupid. I've seen several of Michael Moore's "documentaries", but nothing will ever top Roger and Me. After he got fat and addicted to the fame and cash from pandering to the alt-left and the Dumbocrats, he's gone downhill with each new film. My favorite was playing the "lie" drinking game, where you take a drink every time Moore lies in one of his movies. The one where he went to Cuba and tried to portray that butt-hole of a country as a socialist paradise drained more than a few bottles of CR.

and the WSJ tends to lean right on opinion pieces

How did I know you'd attack the messenger. Of course. Here's one from the San Francisco Chronicle:

Less partisan viewers may find the film quite long, and not a lot more than a rehash of Moore's political obsessions. If you know his earlier work, you'll find no surprises here.

so not exactly the place I'd go for an unbiased review either.

Then go and read the reviews on Rotten Tomatoes. It seems that Moore is mining a vein already mined by many others, so it's just more of the same boring "Trump sucks!" stuff that people are getting tired of hearing. What they want to hear now is "so give us something else to vote for" and so far, the Dumbocrats aren't doing that.

I'm sorry, but do you have something to back this claim up? Statistics on box office revenue and ticket sales don't indicate to support your post. In fact, compared to the last 5 years, 2018 has been the highest grossing between January and October.

While yes, people are cutting cable, they're continuing to watch their programs via different media formats such as streaming it online, it's not the shows they're cutting, it's the format. On top of that, Netflix is growing and growing and becoming even more popular every year, in fact, they just bought another studio the other week.

Are you a masochist? Not sure why you're watching so many of these shows you hate. Kinda weird dude.
