Breaking news scandal: NDP recruit Chinese Communist member

Noon news is reporting that this story is gaining a huge amount of traction. A real leader would step up and address this issue instead of hiding from it. Where's Dix? What does he have to say about another candidate scandal? What does he think about communists in the NDP?

Now this may all end up not being that big of a deal in the end, however, this is the only options for being an NDP candidate? Willingness? There isn't candidates lining up, being evaluated and then the best choice chosen all the while getting to know the person you plan to have represent your party?

Or as it mainly appears provincially and federally you just have to agree to put your name on the ballot. (much like Quebec MP who never set foot in the riding and was on vacation in Las Vegas when she won, yes, let's be like Quebec more and blindly vote in a party who doesn't even remotely look at their representatives, just because they aren't the other guys.

I find it somewhat hard to believe that a party who doesn't know much about any of it's candidates can rely on said candidates to run this province. No matter the issue, the NDP are unprepared it seems to even be a party, let alone govern.

The 'New' BC Liberals....Do They Only Smear Those That Spurn Them Most?

You may have heard how a BC Liberal Party surrogate named Dr. Kenneth Fung, who is also the Chair of Premier Christy Clark's 'Chinese Community Advisory Panel' recently called up a local radio station, gave a fake name, and then smeared a Dipper candidate named Frank Huang over his past political affiliations by essentially employing a variation of the old 'Are you now or have you ever been a member of the....?' accusation.

Now....

Regardless, the egregiousity of the smear itself, especially given what folks like Mr. Huang, who once lived and worked in Mainland China, had to do/join to make a living there, the following, from Ian Bailey's Twittmachine feed, has just emerged:

So.

Let me see if I've got this straight, based on the evidence currently at hand....

First, you try and recruit someone to your political party.

Second, when they do not take you up on your offer you smear them.

Third, you commit the smear while pretending to be someone you are not, presumably in an attempt keep people from connecting said smearing to the political party you are affiliated with.

Sure sounds like the 'new' and 'improved' BC Liberals to me.

Of course, it also sounds like the time has come for someone to ask the leader of those new and improved BC Liberals, especially given all that we have already learned about the ethnic 'quick wins' strategy that was being run out of that leader's government office in the run-up to the election, the following...

Huang continued to write for the Chinese communist newspaper up until 2007, and had dealings up until last year. So much for severing ties with the commie party...and why the NDP is infiltrated with communists!
