What about cataracts surgery?

Post by occasional thoughts »

I can't find an older thread on personal experience with surgery for cataracts. That's what I'm in line for in a month or two. I'd like to hear anything and everything people have to say, pls. and thanks.

Perhaps this can help you look forward to better sight.

I know lots of people who have had it and not one complaint. I think they can even fix some vision problems so no need for glasses after.

Thanks for the comments so far. I've heard almost nothing but praise, but one good friend said his wife had it done and it worked on one eye but not the other. And there's the odd anecdotal evidence of rare disasters. Anyway, please keep the comments coming.

Occassional thoughts . . . If you've not had your procedure yet, I've heard that ETDA is been investigated to disolve cataracts.

Just google EDTA for cataracts.

If you can weed through all the potential claims, you'll find some very interesting information.

Husband had cataract surgery last year, worked well and healing time was minimal. He was a patient of Dr. Yap (if that helps? - he specializes)
I haven't failed until I quit.
