You don't have elderly parents? If you do, and are considered prime caregiver, they will pay for the shot.

I get that it's good if everyone gets them: it reduces the spread of the flu, reduces the cost per dosage and some people need them so we want companies to continue to make the effort. But I've never been someone to take something unless it's personally worth it and for me, possible prevention of 1 flu every 4 or 5 years doesn't make it work it. That's why I don't plan on getting one but appreciate those that do because it probably reduces my chance of catching something. Suppose it's a bit selfish but as long as it's a choice I choose not to.

Got mine this year in October, had to for work.

If I didn't work in the medical field I probably wouldn't get one. Firstly because I hate needles. Second, because I am not in close contact with people who are vulnerable in my personal life.

Have elderly parents that are in great shape and still exercise and eat right - folks should be good until at least 100.

really why not, your so pro vaccine and all,why would you not get the flu shot ,you will make people around you sick if you get the flu so why not get the shot
