Xray question
Does anyone know if you can go to the hospital for physician ordered X-rays or must you go to one of the imaging clinics?

Re: Xray question
The requisition given by your doctor will show which facility you are to use.

I think they will call you with an appointment date and time. (Or you call them, can't remember) It should say on the form.

Re: Xray question
I called a clinic near me and made the appointment. I don't know about the hospital. Easier to pick up a phone and call to ask.
Truths can be backed up by facts - do you have any?

Re: Xray question
I did end up calling to ask. As long as you have a doctor's requisition form, you do not need an appointment to get x-rays taken at the hospital. After calling, I went to the hospital and had my x-rays taken within 15 minutes. Sure beats waiting two weeks for an appointment when you're in pain!

Good to know but I've never had to wait more than a day or two.

The first appointment time I could get at the clinic was exactly two weeks from the day I was calling to make an appointment, which is a long time to wait with the level of pain I am experiencing.

Re: Xray question
Always got a same day x-ray (no appointment needed) at the Westbank facility when I was in pain or they suspected a fracture/break.

Re: Xray question
My son and I have had chest xrays in the last month - both times we had requisition forms and went to Orchard Park, on a Friday. They will let you wait to be fit in, as long as you come in before 3. I spent about an hour waiting, my son spent less. Kind of like being on "standby" when you fly, I think.
I haven't failed until I quit.
