Estheticians

Post by mexi cali »

I have a friend who has a thriving spa business and is having to turn away clients because she can't find any estheticians or Massage Therapists.

It seems strange because it appears to pay well (over 50/hr for the massage positions) and close to twenty for the Nails and such.

Anyone know of anyone who might be looking and just hasn't connected yet?

That is about right. 50% commission would be 50-70/hr for massage.

Considerations:

Partner with an RMT instead of esthetician
Rent the space to esthetician, don't hire one. Then charge a percentage of her sales

She would be happy to do that but has had no luck. She is considering TFWs.

Pretty common to have these shortages in the service industry.

You will need to get an LMIA. Cost is $1000. Make sure you pay special attention to the recruiting and posting requirements because if you don't do it exactly the application will be rejected.

Really it is a straight forward process
