Frozen outside water lines !
Does anyone know who in town can thaw exterior water lines that are frozen ?
The problem is somewhere between my neighbor's house and mine...approximately 20 ft. ( one property, two rental houses ).
I have had no water for four days now.
Landlord called his plumber out and was told that nothing can be done until the ground thaws !!!!
I know that lines can be thawed with either pressurized steam or warm water....but I don't know which companies in town do this ?
Be nice to be able to cook, shower...and flush the toilet !

Many use an electrical current to thaw frozen pipes.
It's almost instant.

^^Tried that with metal pipe under a roadbed service - nada. Service provider had to burn straw and wood to thaw the ground from above. Also depends on material used for piping system..

Be sure to leave your taps open slightly.
It may not be much, but it may help ease the pressure enough the pipes don't burst.
If there is even the most minute amount of flow, this will also help in the thawing process.
I like the bonfire idea also.

Taps have been open for a week.
Landlord refuses to spend the money to have the pipes thawed.....so I came home today to find my exterior tap removed and a garden hose wrapped in heat tape and insulation running from the neighbor's outside tap into my house.
