Inexpensive wedding

Post by PaigeG421 »

Hi there! I’m looking for reccomendations on some inexpensive wedding venues/reception areas.
We are located in Osoyoos but willing to go anywhere from Osoyoos to Kelowna.
Our budget is about 6000-7000 for 60-80 people not including dress and rings.

We were looking at the Guiacshan house which is about 9000 after tax for 50 people but it includes EVERYTHING!
I am not a big crafter or big on decorating so that’s a pretty good deal for me but still over budget.

We have a friend willing to cook all the food for us, so any reccomendations of reception places with kitchen too.

Talk to churches in the area you're interested in - they're often quite affordable and will do catering as well (or at least, they used to). Parks are good, but they book up quickly. I was married in the early 90's though, and so my experiences are somewhat out of date.
I haven't failed until I quit.

Try one of the many buffett style restaurants, maybe they have a larger private dining room you can use if you pay for the food. Ask your guests for cash instead of gifts.

SE Kelowna Hall has a kitchen, saw it when there for a craft fair a few weeks back.

Lake Country has a hall you can rent and has a kitchen as well.
Tables, chairs the whole shebang.
