I Voted for Just One Council Candidate
Beryl Itani. She was the only one I was really familiar with. For 30 years, she worked to provide emergency services to people whenever disaster struck. You probably remember her from the fires.
I thought she would have been a valuable voice on council. Certainly more valuable than, say the busy career woman who sells wine and will likely miss many of the meetings due to other obligations.
But ForKelowna didn't endorse Itani, so she lost to the busy career woman who sells wine and will likely miss many of the meetings due to other obligations.

I voted for Beryl Itani as well. Other people didn't. Such is life.
You're really not dealing with this well at all . . . have you considered counseling?

I haven't failed until I quit.

So now the business people are bad because they will miss meetings, despite there being no evidence that this will happen.
Nothing against Itani. Would have been happy if she was elected, but she wasn't so move on.
