Jackson & Puppy Tips

Postby WeatherWoman » Mar 29th, 2012, 12:00 pm

Well it's been 11 years since our last puppy. Jackson the Golden Retriever joined our family last night and we are working on getting settled.

Please share your best tips, awesome products etc. I think I need a refresher. :nyah:

I am soooo happy for you. We had to put our Golden down last Friday. It was a very sad day.

I am so sorry....we put down 2 dogs in 5 months last summer...It was so hard for us but the right thing to do. I still get teary eyed when I talk about them.

I highly recommend crate training. It made potty training a breeze and the dogs love having a "cave" to escape to when they want to snooze in peace.

Maintain a consistent diet without a lot of people food snacks. your carpet will thank you. Play, Play, and Play. Lots of socialization with other people and dogs. Play. Send him to me for training, it may take a while.

WW could send Jackson to me for training, too - guaranteed to take about 15 years :D
