I didnt bother going there after he didnt believe bicycles were in the Motor Vehicle Act because you dont need a licence to ride a bicycle. I gathered that because he was in such a "High Tax Bracket" that laws just didnt apply to him. Taking a line from my book.......To him they arent laws...there more or less "Guidelines"

Go up a bit more. He's got a touch of the "Freeman" in him.....he doesn't recognize statutes as laws. But those pesky Freemen always go back to the Charter and their rights while forgetting that the Charter is just another Statute.

It seems with the nicer weather that we're seeing alot more bikers out and about but it seems lately that they're simply not obeying the rules of the road. I had a instance the other day where I was stuck with a large truck in front of me and also one beside me with plenty of traffic behind him(to the point where I couldn't move over to the side) as I came up on a large group of bikers whom only 2 of the 3 across were INSIDE the bike lane, the other way riding RIGHT on the line. .

So he wasn't even over the line, just on it? I think you need to reevaluate the magnitude of his "offense"

I honked my horn and motioned if they could move over, I was then FLIPPED OFF by the biker..

Not surprising. If you had ever done any running/biking/walking, you'd know just how loud a CAR horn (designed to be heard by other drivers IN their cars, over car noise) can be when you are right outside the car, exposed, and not expecting somebody blaring their horn. If you had shocked him enough to cause an accident, he may have been harmed or even killed. How would you feel then?

At that point I really didn't care how close I got to him as I passed..

Scary. Getting the finger, made you no longer care about whether your car hit him. I think you should give some deep thought to your values, your temperament, and your judgment.

I think bikers need to start paying a little more attention to their riding ettiquet, more times than not I see them riding on the bike lane line instead of inside, there have been numerous occassions in the past week where I've slammed on my breaks because of a bike jutting out in front of me to make a left hand turn at the lights. No offence but you are not a car and if you're in the bike lane we don't see you when we're already in the left hand turn lane..

Disgusting. So now you're angry they're in the bike lane, and you didn't pay due diligence, and thus had to slam on your brakes? I'm sorry, but you aren't responsible for only seeing "car(s)". You are responsible for seeing pedestrians and cyclists, as well as other unexpected obstacles, when you operate a motor vehicle. You are a dangerous driver, and it's only a matter of time before you seriously harm someone.

Drop your self-entitlement, start paying due attention to others, who by your own admission were operating properly, stop honking your horn at people, and not caring if you hit somebody. It is clear that you represent a real danger out there.

Put a cork in it. Your whole post was a duplicate of everything I have always said about runners, drivers and cyclists. I have said many times cyclists and runners don't belong on the roads mixed in with vehicles. Their stupidity is only exceeded by the city's planning department for putting the bike lanes there in the first place.

My driving skills have nothing to do with it. Their thinking and rationalizing skills are lacking - not mine. Take your venom elsewhere. My concern is for the safety of runners, cyclists and pedestrians because they appear to not have the intelligence to be concerned about it themselves - and neither does the city.
