Audi R8 on the highway near sexsmith this morning weaving through traffic and cutting off EVERYONE. Still seemed to get him nowhere. Getting a brain must have been out of his budget after buying that car.

Havent got those pics done yet. i emailed em to myself and they came out like thumb nails but to see them sized up doesnt work, gets blurry. It must be a setting issue with my phones cam. I will keep trying and also see if I can use a different setting in my cam. Gonna start bringing my mini video camera, it will do stills and they come out better.

To the guy doing 20-30 under the limit on Glenmore road the entire way from Winfield to Kelowna, you had 15 cars behind you. I counted. If you're scared of the road, don't be on it.

To the guy driving the marked RCMP cruiser .... what colour was your red light when you made a right hand turn from Hollywood onto Hwy 33 right in front of me forcing me to slam on my brakes or nail your sorry ass. No lights, no siren, you were in no hurry to get anywhere special. Normally I don't slam cops, but this time YOU WERE AN IDIOT!

To the guy doing 178 km/hr on your red motorcycle, on hwy 97 this morning:

Did you get a big rush from that stunt? Did that rush continue while you were given the big fat ticket and watched helplessly as your precious red motorcycle was being hauled away to impound for excessive speed?

YOU are an idiot!

Here's a little something to think about for the next week while your bike is in impound.

Their vehicles have been impounded for seven days. In addition to the tow bill and the storage fees, they also received a violation ticket – the fine amounts ranging from $368 to $483. Drivers will receive three penalty points on their driver’s license and will have to pay an ICBC driver-risk premium of $320 per year for three years, over and above Autoplan insurance premiums. The cost of towing and storage is on average $350.

As you can easily see, excessively speeding is a very expensive proposition. With a specified penalty of $368, a driver may be required to pay additional penalties totaling over $1650. The message here is – obey the speed limit!!!!

Motorcycle impounded for 170 km/h

Members of the RCMP Central Okanagan Traffic Services (COTS) sent a motorbike straight to the impound lot this (Monday) morning and fined the driver for excessive speed.

Shortly before 7 a.m., two COTS members were on a routine patrol to Lake Country along Hwy 97 between the airport and Duck Lake.

The police vehicles were separated by a few kilometres when the lead unit noted a motorbike traveling in excess of 170 km/h in the southbound lane.

Successive readings showed the red Yamaha motorcycle to slow down slightly giving the lead member enough time to radio to the trailing unit, a COTS motorcycle, that an excessive speeder was headed his way.

A traffic stop was initiated which resulted in the 28-year-old Lake Country woman receiving a $463 dollar fine, 7 day vehicle impoundment, tow and storage fees plus a Notice and Order for an improperly equipped motor vehicle.

The speed limit on Highway 97 North between the airport and Duck Lake is 90km/h.

I was also one of the 15 cars , I drive Glenmore daily and it's amazing how many slow driving idiots there are .

To the woman in the green station wagon driving along Pandosy this afternoon. For the first few blocks i was amazed that you spent the entire time rearranging your hair, with BOTH hands!!! You went wide twice and were not driving safely at all, then by the time we reached Lakeshore you were clearly reading texts or a magazine as i could see your face clearly in your side mirror and your eyes were down 75% of the time with the occasional glance upwards. Unbelievable driving for a busy afternoon on a busy road.
