I also would like to be able to put articles in more than one spot i.e. office chair under furniture as well as subcategory of office furniture.

Thanks again.

I agree with your request about posting on more then one area for an item, ie office chair going under office furniture as well as home furniture but I dont agree with the first request unless there was a new space added to write where your add originates from. If we were to look for stuff in Kelowna for example and find out after trying for it we had to go to Vernon to get it and visa versa, that might be a problem, so if this request was possible we would need to have an area to write where we are posting from. We used to be able to tell mostly by phone numbers in a way but now with Shaw area codes, cell phone numbers and such you cant tell anymore where abouts the item is located and that could waste a lot of time.

Ideally, we would like to have an app for all devices, but it does take a lot of resources to make that happen and to keep them up-to-date with new features that keep getting added to the website. If we continue going down the app route then, yes, an Android app will eventually be developed.

We started with an iPhone app first because it is the mobile device that uses our website the most, with iPad in second, followed by all Android devices combined in third place.

I would really appreciate it if you could separate the digital cameras (Point and Shoot)
from the DSLR's (Digital single lens reflex). It is very time comsuming having to view all at the same time.
Thanks.

Actually an improvement to the Events.....

It would be nice if we could report an Event to Castanet, so that you could revise what other people have posted

For the Vehicle section there should be a VIEW ALL VEHICLES option right at the top. I find that sometimes people don't specifically need a particular year to browse through and that sometimes they just want to see what's out there. Then they could sort by price instead of year through ALL the Vehicles that are in Kelowna.
I'm from Kamloops, but i like to browse when i'm looking for a new car. The Kijiji layout is really nice for browsing ALL CARS/SUV's/TRUCKS. Take a look at that maybe?

It would be good to see wanted ads more closely tied to the for sale category of those items for sale. The wanted ads are to distant from the for sale categories.

Other than that an amazing local site that has garnered the attention abroad.

Good day I would like to see a map of where the garage sales are in Kelowna. I come from a city where that was done and it was a great hit for all. Thank you for your time Morris

Hi Troy,
Thanks for asking for our imput, it is greatly appreciated. I agree with most of the suggestions already posted. The only thing I didn't see much about was the Garage Sale catagory. Kelowna has grown so much in the last few years, it would be nice to see subcategories by area, such as Glenmore, Mission, Rutland, etc. and have this information show in the top line so that you do not have to go into each add to see the area or address.

Thanks again and keep up the good work!!!!

Hi Morris,

The garage sales section does have a map. Just click on "Show Events on the Map" -- it is right at the top of the list of garage sales listings, just below the "Today, This Weekend, This Month, etc..." menu.

Also, when you are on a map page, if you click on the "Print" button it will bring up a printer-friendly page where you can also adjust the map and zoom into the neighbourhood you are interested in and it will adjust the list of garage sales happening in that area.

Here's an example:

We do have plans to make the Garage Sales section even better, so thanks to you and Sme29 for the feedback on this section of the site! :)

It would be really great if Castanet had a Wedding category. It is a huge industry and I believe it would be helpful for many brides to be.
