The news about the 'zombie' like cannibal attack in Miami this week was shocking. I made a search on cannibalism and zombie words at the INTERNET, and I have been thinking there is something nasty beyond it. One of the things that caught my attention was the CDC (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention) in the US having a recent advise article called 'Zombie Preparedness' and a full campaign using the same theme like a blog, posters (http://wwwn.cdc.gov/pubs/phpr.aspx) and even a NOVELLA!!!! Apparently there have been other cases of weird behavior happening in Florida this month.

I wonder what/who created this drug, if this is really what's happening, that would have such an effect on a human being?

In another article I found, they were talking about the other cases of weird behavior on different people, and they mentioned that one person was put to sleep for 12 days, and when he woke up, he was still presenting the same psychosis, leading them to think that this drug might have permanent irreversible effects.... here is the article: http://www.businessweek.com/lifestyle/content/healthday/649596.html

Cannibal Fever? Maryland Man Confesses To Eating His Roommate’s Brains, Heart

Alexander Kinyua, 21, confessed to murdering his roommate, Kujoe Bonsafo Agyei-Kodie, then eating his brain and heart, reports HuffingtonPost.com.

The Morgan State University student was reported missing last week. The gruesome crime was discovered when Kinyua’s family came to visit and found the remains of a human head and two hands in a container in the basement. According to the Post, they left the room and when they returned, Kinyua was washing out the container.

Zombie Apocalypse: Is it here?

In an attempt to prepare people for any type of disaster, the BC Government dedicates one week a year to emergency preparedness.

This year, in attempt to draw attention to the importance of being prepared for a disaster, the government issued; Zombie Preparedness Week.

"Because if you're ready for a zombie attack you're ready for anything."

Maybe they were not far off.

This week the news was filled with bizarre stories involving cannibalism and people acting in a zombie like state.

CNN has also reworded their report to tone down the suggestion of violent behavior.

It's called the "nodding disease" and it's a baffling illness that has struck thousands of children in northern Uganda. The illness brings on seizures, violent behavior in some (debated), personality changes, and a host of other unusual symptoms.

Humm I heard of that before, but now I am connecting the dots

I still think that this whole Zombie thing is kind of weird. And now that you found that thing about the BC gov also working on the same advise about zombies, it makes this even more weird

Hundreds of zombie fans and academics have descended on the University of Winchester for what is believed to be the first UK zombie conference.

The Zombosium is looking at current research into zombie culture and how it has spread across all types of media.

Organiser Dr Marcus Leaning said: "Our Zombosium has attracted more than 17 speakers from across the world."

The Hampshire university will be the first in the UK to launch a zombie studies module.

Dr Leaning said: "Zombies now feature widely in film, television, new and social media, gaming, comics and literary texts."

The keynote speaker at the zombosium is Dr Ian Conrich, editor of the Journal of British Cinema and Television and a leading authority on contemporary horror cinema.

The one-day conference will end with a screening of the zombie film Dawn Of The Dead.

And than, I have watched a couple of fiction movies lately that have featured a Zombie-Nazi revival, on all movies, there was the idea that Nazis were hiding somewhere and getting ready with a mass army of zombie like soldiers to invade the world....

Movies about zombies have been around forever and Night of the Living Dead (1968) certainly got my attention, but I wonder if people's fascination with that genre and injesting drugs have resulted in the horrific stories we are hearing lately. Another point of view:
