In a weird development in an uber-weird story, Labbatt's is suing the Montreal Gazette for publishing a photo of Magnotta holding a bottle of Labatt's Blue. In protest of Labatt's attempts to control the media, Andrew Coyne has started a twitter hashtag #newlabbattcampaign and it now is trending number two in Canada. The gallows humour is pretty off the charts:

"Stay blood-thirsty, my friends"
"This beer's for you. And the voices in your head"
"Labatt's Blue: Tastes great. Less killing"

Pretty tasteless, but such is the maudlin humour that some people use in these situations, to help cope/deal with a pretty disgusting and sickening situation.
